GRINNELL MAN CHANGES HIS PLEA TO GUILTY

MIAMI, FLA (AIP) - Leonard L. Lemke, Jr. an Army private from Grinnell, Iowa, has changed his plea from innocent to guilty in the slaying of Howard L. Johnson, 58, in Homestead last Jan. 3. Lemke in his Circuit Court appearance Monday asked for mercy. Judge James W. Kehoe ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for April 1. Lemke, clutching a Bible, was comforted by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard L. Lemke of Grinnell, in the court.
