LATE LILLIE GOVEAn estimated $130,000 was bequeathed to Raymond Blank Memorial Hospital for Children in Des Moines by the late Miss Lillie Gove of Grinnell.
According to an announcement by hospital officials, the money will go to the hospital endowment fund and only the income from it will be used to make improvements and to help cover other operating costs of the children's hospital.
A well-known local resident, Miss Gove died earlier this year at a Des Moines nursing home. She was a graduate of Grinnell high school and Grinnell College, and a member of the Grinnell Historical and Literary Society and Grinnell Museum Society, She had traveled extensively throughout the world.
