Accident Claims Life of Grinnell Woman

LIFE OF GRINNELL
WOMAN FRIDAY

A Grinnell woman lost her life in a fatal one-vehicle crash last Friday Sept. 13, south of Brooklyn.

According to the Iowa State Patrol Rebecca Sue Dayton was southbound on County Road V18 on a Harley Davidson motorcycle a little before 5:30 p.m. last Friday, Sept. 13, when she lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle entered the west ditch, overturned, and came to rest in an adjacent field. Dayton was fatally injured in the accident.

State patrol officers were assisted by the Eastern Poweshiek Ambulance Service at the accident scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
