ELECT GRINNELL GIRL
HOMECOMING QUEEN

Wanda McDonough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer L. McDonough of Grinnell, was elected homecoming queen at McPherson College, McPherson, Kan. on Oct. 13. Miss McDonough was one of four contestants and was elected by student vote.

The Queen was crowned during ceremonies at Brown Auditorium Friday night. The student body then participated in a pep rally and bonfires were lit. Following the homecoming game on Saturday, the Queen's Ball was held at the Student Union, which was decorated as a Venetian ballroom.

Traditionally the homecoming queen at McPherson has been selected from nominees by the junior class. One attendant from the sophomore class and one from the freshman class were also elected.

Miss McDonough is a Junior majoring in sociology. She lists her hobbies as working on the Women's Council, sewing, bowling and swimming.
