MALCOM AND VICINITY.

By the Kindness of Bro. Lee of the Republican, we are able to give the course and consequences of the storm east of Malcom with accuracy. He took a horse Sunday and rode over the track of the storm from that point east. His account is as follows:

From the Fair Ground east the ruin of dwellings, barns, outbuildings, fences, orchards, etc., is complete for eight miles, and extends south about two miles. In a track extending froma half to two miles wide there is literally nothing left. Several persons were killed, and many injured. Those who suffered the greatest loss of property were James McClure, twelve miles east of Malcom; everything gone.

Moses Jones lost a large barn. A house and all buildings near by was swept away. Owner unknown.

On the two farms of Peter Kraft the desolation is complete. Nothing is left standing.

James Deardorff's place was the next and it met the same fate.

At John Duffus' everything was carried off, he and wife injured, boy's leg broken, and a Miss Sharer severely injured.

Isaac Wilson was the next victim. One child was found dead in the road, another has his legs broken, and Wilson and wife fatally injured. All buildings gone.

Curtis Ball and wife are both injured and lost everything.

South from Duffus's is the Orr brothers, who lost all, and with their sister Jennie are badly hurt.

Chas. Lineweaver lost all. Robt. Lytle met the same fate.

David Blankenfelt and Nelson Neill lost many buildings but not all.

The school house east of Lineweavers' is a total wreck. John Ingham's place, occupied by Arnold Brenniman, is in the same condition.

Thos. Donnan was the next sufferer, losing all, and he and his wife being injured.

Geo. Ormiston's buildings are all gone.

Anthony Shuler had house unroofed, racked and off foundation.

Calvin Ormiston had a large barn lifted nine feet off its foundation. Jno. Williams and Peter Duncan each had all buildings except houses destroyed.

South of Shuler's Jno. Campbell was wrecked badly.

Allen Fullerton lost all buildings and he and wife were injured.

Farther south Henry Jones and J.A. Garnett lost everything.

This was the last trace of the full force of the storm. A short distance farther on near English creek, a few houses and barns were moved from their foundations, and beyond this no trace could be found.

ADDITIONAL FROM DISTRICT SOUTH OF
MALCOM, BROOKLYN AND VICTOR.

A gentleman from below Brooklyn was in town late last night and informs us that Peter Craft, who lives three miles southeast of Malcom and was reported dead, is quite uninjured.

South of Brooklyn the path of the storm was a mile wide, working ruin on both roads. At the head of English River, Mike Gulliger's was destroyed and Jas. Cannon had his shoulder injured. Also Nick Cline's house was entirely destroyed, and wife seriously hurt.

In Iowa county, six miles south of Victor, several houses went down.
