The Grinnell (IA) Herald
Dec. 16, 1902--John Sloan, who eluded the officers of the law for so long a time that he began to think he could bootleg whiskey with impugnity, was brought before Esquire Bryan Monday and found guilty on three counts, and on each count was fined seventy-five dollars and trimmings. Of course, the county will have an additional boarder at Hotel de Binegar during the time that these fines are still unpaid, but Grinnell will have less bootlegging. Marshal Carter took him to Montezuma yesterday.
