CAR IS OVERTURNED
AND CATCHES FIRE

An automobile driven by Mrs. F.J. McKenzie, who had with her William Coleman, of Cincinnati, O., a cousin of Mr. McKenzie, was upset in front of the Squire filling station on Highway No. 7 east of town, while attempting to pass another car in which were Mr. McKenzie and Joe McGrew. When the car overturned Mr. Coleman was caught under it and was in considerable danger for a time as the car caught fire, but was pulled out of danger and was only slightly hurt. Mrs. McKenzie escaped with a sprained ankle and bruises. The city fire truck was called and subdued the flaming car with chemicals.

County Attorney Boyd was called to Grinnell Thursday afternoon on the case and filed an information charging McKenzie with driving a car while intoxicated and another charging Joe McGrew, owner of the car which did not overturn, with failure to report the accident and injury.
