MEMBER OF FOURTH IOWA DIES

Dan F. Hays has received word of the recent death of Andrew W. Connor, a former member of the Fourth Iowa Cavalry. When the war broke out Mr. Connor lived at Brooklyn but enlisted with the Grinnell boys in the Fourth and also was the mess mate of Mr. Hays who regarded him as a fine fellow and a man of high character. He was living at Lincoln, Nebraska at the time of his death.
