SUE CORTRIGHT BRIDE OF GARY STREETER
AT KELLOGG METHODIST CHURCH SATURDAY

KELLOGG--Sandra Sue Cortright and Gary Lee Streeter were married at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept 12 at the Kellogg Methodist church. The Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150 guests.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Foster and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Streeter all of Kellogg.

Candelabra and baskets of pastel gladioli decorated the altar and white satin bows marked the pews. Sherry Deppe, accompanied by Kathy Meredith, sang "Why Do I Love You," "Because" and "The Wedding Prayer." Miss Meredith also played a nuptial prelude and traditional marches. Candles were lighted by Gordon Stepp, cousin of the bride.

Given in marriage by her stepfather, the bride wore a gown of imported silk organza and alencon lace. The moulded bodice was styled with bateau neckline appliqued in lace and re-embroidered in antique pearls and sequins. A full skirt poised over hoops was designed with flowing side panels. Her silk illusion veil fell from a lace shell with pleated tulle re-embroidered in sequins and pearls. Her flowers were a crescent bouquet of pink roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Larry Hutchinson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore French blue peau de soie styled with rounded neckline and princess waistline. She carried pink roses on a white lace fan. Judith Cortright, sister of the bride and Marilyn Hutchinson were bridesmaids, their dresses identical to that of the matron of honor.

Larry M. Hutchinson was best man and Alvin Van Maaren of Kellogg and Vern Rawlins were groomsmen. Dwight and Dale Lenz of Kellogg were ushers.

Mrs. Foster wore a blue-black dress with blue accessories while Mrs. Streeter chose grey. Both mothers had pink and white corsages.

RECEPTION

A reception was held in the church parlors. Mrs. Kenneth Norris of Grinnell and Judy Marsh cut and served the cake. Mrs. Richard Jay and Mrs. Vern Rawlins poured. Carolyn Streeter, sister of the bridegroom, presided at the guest book.

After a short wedding trip, the couple will live at 315 North 4th Ave. East, Newton. For going away, the bride wore a blue-grey sheath with matching jacket and the corsage from her wedding bouquet.

A 1959 graduate of Newton high school, she is employed in the public relations department of the Maytag Co. The bridegroom, a 1958 Kellogg graduate, attended Iowa Wesleyan college at Mt. Pleasant and is employed in the drafting department at the county engineer's office.
