TURNBULL-RICHARDSON

A pretty home wedding was solemnized Sunday, June 18, at four o'clock at the home of E. O'Brien which united in marriage Miss Erthel Jean Turnbull of Kimball, Nebr., and Mr. William K. Richardson of Grinnell.

To the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Mable Cecile Stage of Grinnell, the bridal party descended the stairs to a beautiful arch of orchid, pink and green, where the Rev. D.L. Cox of Newburg, performed the single ring ceremony by candlelight.

The bride, attired in pink organdie and carrying a bouquet of pink and sunburst roses, was attended by Mrs. Gerald Collett of Des Moines, sister of the bridegroom, as matron of honor. Mr. Gerald Collett of Des Moines was best man.

The bridegroom and best man were dressed in dark blue.

The bride is a graduate of Kimball High School. The bridegroom was reared in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School.

Following the ceremony a delicious wedding supper was served to forty guests.

The guests included Mr. Richardson's grandfather, C.M. O'Brien and parents Mr. and Mrs. E. O'Brien and sons Clifford and Cornelius of Grinnell, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cook and sons Garland and Ralph and daughter June of Laurel, Mr. and Mrs. Harry McSpadden of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Collett of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Radikin and Rev. Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Cox of Newburg, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Phillips, Mr. Ralph Phillips and wife and daughter of Conrad, Iowa, Miss Josephine Adey of Oskaloosa, Jack O'Brien, Mrs. Lodema Powell and son Jack, Miss Anna O'Brien, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gray, Mrs. Mary Seward and two daughters, Katherine and Edna, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hockett, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde O'Hara and daughter Colleen, Misses Audrey and Ida Marie Case, Miss Mable Cecile Stage and Miss Selma Fisher, all of Grinnell.

The young couple will be at home after July 1st to their friends at Laurel, Iowa, where Mr. Richardson is employed.
