THINKS HORSE IS GONE.
---------------------------------
Young Man Rents Horse of Norris and Does Not Report.

A little ripple of excitement crept over J.W. Norris' feed shed management, when they became suspicious that they had been the victims of a theft. The Monday before, a young man, representing himself as a solicitor for the Homestead, secured a horse for the day. Saturday morning when he had not returned, Mr. Norris became uneasy and telephoned an adv. to the Des Moines papers. He also ordered some postal cards printed, but before they could be mailed the young man drove in after a full week out. He had just stayed on the job--and hadn't even telephoned in. He paid all bills and--well probably won't do it again.
