The Grinnell Herald; Oct. 27, 1893

--Last night the home of A.H. Stickle of Sheridan twp, was the scene of wedding festivities. Rev. M. Bamford pronounced the words that united in hymen's bonds, Mr. Wm. Ahrens and Miss Anna Stickle, at 7:00 o'clock. Mr. Fred Ahrens and Miss Lulu Dose assisted as best man and bridesmaid. About fifty friends and relatives were present. After the elegant supper had been properly disposed of the evening was spent in social good time, music and other pleasures being enjoyed. Misses Emma, Josie, and Edith Stickle gave both vocal and instrumental selections, and C.S. Stickle sang a solo that created much merriment and helped to add to the evening's delight. Presents were numerous and costly. Mr. and Mrs. Ahrens came at once to Grinnell where they are at home on West 5th ave. Mr. Ahrens is the efficient clerk at C.W.H. Beyer's, a splendid young man. The young couple are the recipients of numberless good wishes.
