The Grinnell (IA) Herald; March 1, 1895

The Marion correspondent of the Cedar Rapids Republican says: The eight Beeler brothers who are now at home each of whom is over six feet tall, produced quite a sensation as they passed along the street together yesterday. Each of them is a giant in strength and physique and upon weighing it was found their average weight is over 221 pounds each. Seven of the boys live in Kansas and the eighth in Grinnell of this state. They were all born and raised on their father's farm near this place and were the source of a good deal of pride to the old gentleman's heart, whose last desire was to see all his boys around him again. This wish was gratified and the aged and honored parent closed his eyes contentedly.
