RUNAWAY HORSE STOPPED AFTER THREE-QUARTER OF A MILE JAUNT

Mrs. Fred Furber daughter of City Marshal John Lee, figured in an exciting runaway accident last Friday evening. With two children she was driving in from the Furber home north of town when one ear of the shafts broke, letting the shafts drop down behind the heels of the horse. The horse started to run, and ran for three-quarters of a mile. Mrs. Furbrer did all she could, and that was to keep the terrified animal in the road. When they came to the J.B. Grinnell place the carpenters at work on Mr. Grinnell's new barn formed a line across the road and caught the horse. Mrs. Furber and the children were none the worse for their experience aside form the shaking up and the scare.
