The Montezuma Republican (1939)

MARRIED
VEVERKA-BUNNELL

The marriage of Miss Marjorie VeVerka, daughter of Mrs. Earl VeVerka, and Marvin Bunnell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bunnell, was solemnized at two-thirty this (Wednesday) afternoon, November 8th, at the VeVerka home. The Rev. Arthur M. Eastman, pastor of the Methodist church performed the single ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan VeVerka, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, were the attendants.

Mrs. Bunnell was attired in a mulberry crepe silk street dress with black accessories, and wore a corsage of white roses.

Both young people are graduates of the Montezuma high school. Mrs. Bunnell, since her graduation in 1937, has been employed at the Fullmer Grocery. Mr. Bunnell completed high school in 1936, and since has been farming with his father. He was prominent in 4-H work, and in 1937 was county health champion. They have a host of friends who join with the Republican in extending to them congratulations and best wishes. Marvin was a good athlete in his high school days.

Following the ceremony a reception was given at the home. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bunnell, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bunnell, Pauline Jordan, and Jean and Ruth Husted. Mrs. Forrest Crawford and LeRoy of Davenport were guests from out-of-town.

They left late in the afternoon for a short trip and upon returning will make their home with his parents.
