MISS STAPLES AND LLOYD NORRIS WED SEPTEMBER 3 IN ARIZONA

Mrs. Hallie Staples of Phoenix, Ariz., has announced the marriage of her daughter, Martha Jean, to Lloyd Norris of Phoenix, Ariz., son of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Norris of Grinnell. The morning nuptial service took place September 3, at 8 o'clock, in the Central Methodist church in Phoenix, with Rev. James B. Curry performing the ceremony in the presence of 75 guests. Miss Nancy Brocte presented a vocal solo, "O Promise Me," with pipe organ accompaniment by Miss Mary Hamilton.

The bride chose a navy blue pin striped suit trimmed in white for her wedding costume and with this she wore white accessories and a corsage of white orchids.

Miss Marian Samuels served as bridesmaid and Melborn Staples, brother of the bride, acted as best man.

Many Grinnellians will be interested to learn of the marriage of Mr. Norris, as he was one of the prominent and popular young men of this community. He left here a little over a year ago to make his home in the west.

Immediately after the ceremony, the young couple left on a trip to California, which included visits to Los Angeles, San Diego, Long Beach and Catalina Islands. Upon their return to Phoenix, they became established in a lovely new English bungalow.
