MALCOM YOUNGSTER WINS MONEY PRIZE
Master Charles Rector, aged eleven years, and son of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Rector, of Malcom, sprang a surprise by romping away with the prize offered by the Henderson Stock Co. at their show last Friday evening for the best amateur stage performance. Charles, accompanied by his mother, gave a very able exhibition of drumming, as well as a very clever little Indian dance. He won the prize in competition with many older and more experienced performers. The decision, which was made by the clapping of the audience, was unanimously and enthusiastically give him.--Brooklyn Chronicle.
