MADISON MAN HAS FREAK PIG

Theodore Johnston, who resides south of Chelsea in Madison township, Poweshiek county, is the owner of a freak Hampshire pig. The pig has eight legs, two tails, two backs, but only one head. It lived more than half an hour after being born. Mr. Johnston now has it in fluid and sealed in a jar. Mr. Johnston seems to have luck with extraordinary animals. News-Hearld readers will remember that a kitten with four front feet was born on this farm. The kitten is now a grown cat in perfect health and a great pet in the Johnston household. Cats usually insist on staying home, but this one has traveled to town in the family car, and enjoyed being shown around.--Tama News-Herald.
