SHOWER FOR BRIDE TO BE

Mrs. Thomas Jeffrey, of Ewart, entertained a company of fifty guests at a shower Friday evening, February 1, in honor of her sister, Miss Jessie Jacob, whose marriage to Harold Gerard, of Ewart, is an event of the near future.

Among those present at the shower were: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wells, Mr. and Mrs. John Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Clark, and Mrs. Hattie Porter. The remainder of the guests were young men and young women who are intimate friends of Miss Jacob and Mr. Gerard.

Music was furnished during the evening by Miss Freda Jacob, Miss Vergie Gerard, Sheldon Copeland and Mr. Gerard. Mrs. Earl Wells also entertained the company with a reading.

The games of the evening were directed by Mr. Emory Farley and Mr. William Jeffrey. Later a delicious lunch was served, bringing to an end a very happy occasion.

Miss Jacob is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mose Jacob and Mr. Gerard is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gerard, of Ewart.
