SEARSBORO COUPLE MARRIED RECENTLY IN NEWTON CHURCH
Searsboro, March 29: In the Veterans Memorial Chapel of the Congregational church in Newton, on the evening of March 5, Rev. L. Churchill Austin spoke the words that united Miss Colleen Fudge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Fudge of Searsboro, and Kenneth C. Arthur, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Arthur, also of Searsboro, in marriage.
The bride wore a white wine suit with brown accessories and an orchid corsage. She was attended by her sister, Betty Fudge, who chose an aqua suit with brown accessories and a pink carnation corsage.
Kenneth DeWitt of Lacey, friend of the bridegroom was his attendant. Miss Lona Butin and Rex Sharp were witnesses.
The bride is a graduate of the Searsboro high school with the class of 1943. She has been employed the past two years in the office of the Automatic Company of Newton. The bridegroom is also a graduate of the Searsboro school with the class of 1943. He is a veteran of two years in the South Pacific with the Marine corps. He received his discharge in April of 1946. He is employed at the Parsons company. The newlyweds are making their home at 409 First Ave. East, Newton.
