GERARD-ARTHUR

On the beautiful autumn afternoon of Oct. 3, 1920, at the country home of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Gerard the marriage of their daughter, Pansy Blossom to Mr. Cecil Hobart Arthur was solemnized. A company of about 35 of the immediate relatives were present. The home was tastefully decorated in pink and white. At the hour of one o'clock Mrs. Pearl Farley, sister of the bride began to play the wedding march and to the sweet strains the bridal couple entered the room where Rev. W.W. Woodburn conducted the marriage service. After hearty congratulations a bountiful three course dinner was served.

The bride is well known in Grinnell and vicinity where she has many friends. On this occasion she was beautifully gowned in silk messaline.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Clyde Arthur of Sully and is a prosperous young farmer. The young couple will make their home on a farm near Sully. Their friends wish them a happy life voyage.

NOTE: The marriage is recorded in Book K (1920-25); page 59; #6845 at Poweshiek Co. IA Courthouse in Montezuma, IA
