BOPE-OSTROM

Hartwick, Iowa--Special

At the Congregational parsonage Myrtle Bope and George Ostrom, both of the Hartwick vicinity, were united in marriage Saturday morning, September 8th, at ten o'clock, Rev. Byron Northrop officiating.

The couple was attended by Mrs. Fred Bees, a sister of the groom, as bridesmaid and Mr. Fred Bees, as best man.

The bride wore a gown of blue satin and the bridesmaid wore a frock of printed tan georgette. The groom wore a suit of navy blue, and the groomsman a grey suit.

Miss Bope graduated from the Hartwick school. Since her graduation she has taught some in the rural schools in this county. She is well versed in the art of domestic science, having been a faithful helper in her home.

Mr. Ostrom is an industrious farmer, he too having been engaged in that work with his father and mother.

The happy young couple left immediately after the ceremony for a week's trip to Des Moines and Shenandoah.

Their many Hartwick friends join in congratulations.
