HELPLESS FOR HOURS WITH A BROKEN HIP

Mrs. Harriet Bryan, 84 Years Old, of Montezuma, Badly Hurt.

Mrs. Harriet Bryan, 84 years of age, who lives alone throughout the day, tripped over a rug in her home, last Thursday afternoon at about three o'clock and fell, breaking her right hip. She lay on the floor from the time of the accident until 5:30, when Mrs. Sally Wheeler who stays in the house nights, came to her rescue. Mrs. Bryan suffered intense pain through the terrible ordeal, but at the present time she is reported as resting comfortably.

Mrs. Bryan had just finished telephoning and as she turned away from the phone, her foot caught in the rug, throwing her to the floor, where she lay, helpless for two and a half hours.--Montezuma Republican.
