LINCOLNS OBSERVE 57TH ANNIVERSARY

The Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lincoln celebrated their fifty seventh wedding anniversary Thursday, Feb. 11. The occasion was observed quietly at home, but a number of guests called in the afternoon to offer congratulations and best wishes. Among the callers were Mr. Lincoln's brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lincoln, the only two persons now living who were present at the wedding ceremony.

Miss Nellie Lincoln, assisted by Mrs. Paul Lincoln, served refreshments of ice cream and cake.

A number of gifts were received by the honored couple.

On this occasion the Rev. Lincoln recalled that when he came to Iowa from Ohio at the age of five, the party travelled the emigrant trail and were stopped while the train bearing the body of the martyred President Abraham Lincoln passed.
