--Married, at the home of the bride's mother, three miles west of Montezuma on Sunday July 31, 1898 at three o'clock Mr. J.R. Steele jr. and Miss Eva Beason, Rev. J.B. Miller, of Montezuma officiating. Only relatives and a few intimate friends were present. After congratulations had been extended ice cream, cake and fruit were served. The parties interested in this happy occasion are among Union township's best young people and a large circle of friends will extend sincere congratulations.
