Montezuma (IA) Democrat; March 22, 1898

A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Jones near Brooklyn Wednesday at noon in which the daughter, Miss Ella, became Mrs. Aquilla Triplett. In response to nearly one hundred invitations, a large company gathered at the residence, and 12 o'clock noon, Rev.C. Durant Jones, pastor of the Christian church at Stanhope, and brother to the bride, pronounced the words that made them one. A sumptuous dinner was served and a pleasant time was passed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Jones were among the early settlers of Poweshiek county. Those from a distance were S.M. Winchell and wife of Malcom, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Triplett of Grinnell, William Winslow and Mrs. H.N. Winslow of Belle Plaine. The young couple go to housekeeping at once on the farm belonging to the groom's father, near Brooklyn.
