From Forest Home comes the announcement of the marriage of Miss Ruth Davis of Grinnell to Esquire J.R. Steele. Miss Davis has been a popular teacher of the schools of that district and closed her school with a program which was well attended. The Wednesday following, Feb. 28, occurred the marriage which was followed by an old-fashioned charivari. Mr. Steele is a widower of considerable means. His wife is a graduate of the Grinnell high school and has been very successful as a teacher.
