DAVIS-WELLS

The many friends of Miss Stella Davis and Ralph Wells, both of this city will be pleased to learn of their marriage which took place in Grinnell Saturday morning at 8 o'clock, performed by the Rev. C.A. Carman, pastor of the Baptist church of that city. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Wells went to Des Moines for a short honeymoon.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of this city and graduated from the high school last June, and has been teaching in the country schools. She has many friends who extend congratulations. Mr. Wells is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wells of this city, and has been employed by several business houses since removing here with his parents from Ewart. Mr. Wells also attended school here.

Mr. and Mrs. Wells will make their home for the present, at the Wells home in the south part of the city. The Republican extends congratulations.

A dinner was given Tuesday in honor of the newly weds. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wells of Grinnell, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bryan.
