Glenn Connell has appendix removed

--Glenn Connell was taken suddenly ill Monday morning at about three o'clock but managed to stay on his feet suffciently long to present his assessor's books to the board in the forenoon. A doctor was summoned and he was found to have appendicitis. As soon as arrangements could be made he was taken to St. Francis hospital in Grinnell and at about seven o'clock the appendix was removed, it proving to be one of the bad cases. Glenn stood the operation well and is reported as doing fine. We hope for him a speedy recovery.
