A miscellaneous shower was held in honor of Mrs. Minnie Gilbert Phipps at the home of her aunt, Mrs. W.E. Schooley, Tuesday evening, December 30. Quite a number were present and a pleasant evening was enjoyed by all after which a delightful luncheon was served by Mrs. W.E. Schooley and Mrs. H.V. Griffith. It will be a surprise to many of Mrs. Phipps' friends to hear of her marriage to Mr. Clifford Phipps, Dec. 22, 1919, at University Park, Iowa. Many useful and beautiful presents were received. The guests took their departure at a late hour, wishing the bride many happy years of married life.
