FAMOUS MOVIE STAR WILL ARRIVE HERE AT ABOUT TEN O'CLOCK TOMORROW MORNING

Former Grinnell College Student Will Address Crowd At Airport Dedication Tomorrow Morning

Gary Cooper is on his way to Grinnell. He left Los Angeles by plane this morning and will arrive in Kansas City sometime today. Gary is scheduled to arrive in Grinnell at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, coming from Kansas City in Smililng Thru, owned by Harry Ogg, of Newton. Mr. Ogg, accompanied by Mayor W.G. Ray and by Arthur Child, Jr., left Newton this afternoon at three o'clock for Kansas City to meet Cooper.

Cooper will address the crowd at the airport dedication tomorrow morning, it has been announced by A.M. Burton, chairman of the airport committee for the dedication. Gov. John Hammill will give the main address.

The report that Cooper would be in Grinnell for the Jubilee and Homecoming was confirmed by a telephone message to Mayor W.G. Ray from Bill Crouch, Gary's publicity manager.

It is reported that the film star has indefinitely postponed the filming of the picture which he was scheduled to start on October 21. He has just completed the filming of "The Virginian" taken from the book by that name which was written by Owen Wister.

Following is a telegram that came from Bill Crouch to Mayor Ray this morning.

Mayor W.G. Ray:
Gary left here this morning by Western Air express arrives Kansas City tonight meets Ogg and Child arriving Friday. I told Gary you would pay expenses for trip. Sorry so late with news but just got notice picture delayed yesterday and trip made possible. Give my regards to all.
