MONTANA GUESTS ARE HONORED

The pleasant country home of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Gilbert in Blue Point was opened Sunday for a family gathering honoring Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilbert and two children, Geraldine and Paul, of Scobey, Montana. About 35 participated and as this was Mr. Gilbert's first visit to Iowa in 19 years, the occasion was unusually interesting. Mr. Gilbert has many old friends in and near Grinnell as he was at one time employed in the Grant Ramsey grocery, a former Grinnell business.

Attending the basket luncheon, served at 1:30 o'clock, were the honorees, host and hostess, and their daughter, Lucille, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sampson and Gerald, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schooley and Arthur William, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gilbert and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gilbert and Lois, Mrs. Anna Schooley, Don Schooley, Mrs. H.H. Fleener, all of Grinnell; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gilbert and Beverly, of University Park; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Talbott and children of Montezuma. Afternoon callers were Mrs. Ruth Steele and Garnet and Cecil Wheeler of Montezuma, and Mrs. D.M. Roberts, who is visiting here from Los Angeles, Calif.
