BINEGAR-SLEGGLE WEDDING

The Brooklyn Chronicle gives the following account of the Binegar-Sleggle, wedding which occurred this week.

Married, at the residence of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Sleggle, four miles west of Brooklyn, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 1900, Mr. George E. Binegar, of Montezuma, and Miss Nellie May Sleggle. The groom is one of Poweshiek county's most worthy young men, he being the efficient deputy sheriff of this county, and the bride one of the best and most popular young ladies of Brooklyn and vicinity. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A.V. Kendrick in the presence of the parents and a few intimate relatives and friends, after which a bountiful dinner was served. The groom has the home all furnished for his bride in Montezuma to which they went and to housekeeping at once. A host of friends will wish for them long life and prosperity, as they journey down life's path together.

NOTE: Surname Sleggle is found also as Sleggel.
