NOAH, PETER--Farmer and stock-raiser, section 22, P.O. Oak Grove. Was born in Harrison county, Ohio, and remained there unti he was about five years old, when, with his parents, he removed to the State of Pennsylvania, and was there educated and raised to manhood, and in the fall of 1854 moved to Illinois, and remained there until the spring of 1867, when he came to his present location. He was married in July, 1856, to Miss Mary Ann Sturdidain. She is a native of Illinois. Their family consists of four children: Emily, Milton M., John S., Edwin W. Mr. N. has turned his attention toward giving his family a good education and two children are attending college at the present time. Owns a fine farm of 160 acres, all under good cultivation. He enlisted in the late war in February, 1865, and was mustered out September 15, 1865.
