SEARIGHT, J.F.—Jackson Twp—pg 663. Merchant tailor, Montezuma. Was born on the 20th of March, 1817, in Pennsylvania, and resided there until twenty-one years of age, when he removed to Ohio. He completed his education in that State and then engaged in the tailoring business, which he followed until the spring of 1863. In that year he came to Poweshiek county, and has since been working at his trade. He is the owner of a farm of 315 acres, and one well adapted to the raising of stock. On the 6th of February, 1845, Miss Harriet Stevens became his wife; they were married in Ohio. They have had eight children, four of whom are living: Lizzie, Thomas, John and Katie; have lost four infants.
