CANDER, Rev. T.H. - Bear Creek Twp - pg 824. Of the Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn. Was born June 20, 1854, in Rock Island, Illinois. Was there raised and partially educated. He adopted his calling at an early age and received his degree as A.M. at Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois, in 1876. Was connected with the Mission in Chicago for three years. Came to Brooklyn in 1879.
