BLAIN, JOHN�Jackson Twp.�pg 641-2. Farmer, section 22, P.O. Montezuma. Was born October 19, 1840, in Burlington, this State, and remained there until five years of age, when with his parents he moved to Johnson county. He was raised on a farm and has followed that occupation through life. In the spring of 1869, he came to this county, and now owns 160 acres of land. He was married on the 29th of December, 1864, to Miss A.E.Baines. They have a family of eight children: Helen A., David C., Clyde M. Frederick C., Clara, Elmer, and two infants.
