COUTTS, R.G.--Stone-mason, Ewart. Was born in Aberdeen county, Scotland, in 1856, and was there raised to manhood and educated. Came to this county in 1874 and learned the trade he now pursues. Has been a resident of Poweshiek county since his arrival in America. Mr. Coutts is considered as good a workman as there is in the county and his services are frequently demanded in the surrounding towns. He is an exemplary young man, an elder in the United Presbyterian Church of Ewart and is highly respected by a large circle of acquaintances.
