The funeral of Judge George Carson was held Friday afternoon, with brief services at the home at 2 o'clock and longer services at the Second Presbyterian church at 2:30 o'clock. Dr. George A. Ray officiating. The G. A. R., of which Judge Carson was a member, did its ritual work for Judge Carson at the church. Excelsior lodge of A. F. and A.M. had charge of the services at the grave. The active pall-bearers were members of the Masonic lodge, and were A. K. Geise, W.H. Killpack, C.I. Thomas, F. W. Williams, Henry Leuch and H. P. Morris. The honorary pallbearers were members of the G. A. R. and were John Epperson, J.D. Graham, L. W. Tuleys, C R. Witters, A. A. Fanoher, H. G. Alexander, W. H. Foster, D. Jenkens and William Roper, as flag bearer. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
