Walnut Bureau, p2
Walnut, Iowa
Friday, September 22nd, 1905

Henry Hough, of Moulton, a well known old army veteran, died at his home while trying to sober up from a big drunk. It was not whiskey so much that killed him, but the man had been drinking a lot of patent medicines. He had just been up to the mayor's office a short time before he died and paid a fine of $50 for being drunk. He was born in the south, but was a member of the Third Iowa Cavalry in the union army.
