James C. Patten

The funeral of J. C. Patton, the civil war veteran who died at his home Christmas morning, was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Cutler's chapel.

The Grand Army of the Republic had full charge of the services and the pallbearers were selected from among their number. Burial was at Fairview cemetery.
