Mrs. Mintie Steward, wife of William Steward, 209 Washington Avenue, died yesterday morning of consumption, aged 23 years. Deceased was a well-known colored lady and had been ill for a year and a half.

Mr. Steward, who is a cook on one of the Union Pacific dining cars, is absent from home, and no arrangements for the funeral will be made until his return.
