Local Man Dies Suddenly
Gressly Baughman services held here Saturday afternoon
Gressly Baughman, a lifelong resident of Griswold community, passed away very unexpectedly late Wednesday night of last week, December 3rd. His passing occurred at the Gables rest home in Council Bluffs, where he had been a patient the past three years. Mr. Baughman’s death was attributed to a severe heart attack suffered just prior to his passing. He died before medical aid could reach him. The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Baughman of Waveland Township, who this winter are residing in the L. G. Frank home in this city. Gressly Murchison Baughman was born July 28, 1910, in Waveland Township and had spent almost his entire lifetime in that community. Upon entering into rest he had attained the age of 42 years, 4 months and 4 days. Surviving the young many are his parents and one sister, Mrs. Leo Cochran of Marne, besides numerous other relatives. Funeral services were held in Griswold Saturday afternoon at two o’clock. The services were held from the Wagler Funeral Home and conducted by Rev. F. E. Hamlin, pastor of the local Presbyterian church. The music was by Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hamilton. Pallbearers were Neil and Allen Potter, Darrell Cary, Alva Johnson, Calvin Mundorf and H. W. Rousseau. Interment was made in the Griswold Cemetery.
