Walter J. Majeski, 61, 2226 Avenue D. died Wednesday at an Omaha Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born near St. Paul, Neb., and had been a resident of Council Bluffs over 27 years. He was employed as a car inspector for the Chicago and North Western Railroad. He was a member of Holy Family Church.

He is survived by widow, Lillian; daughter, Mrs. Gus Nelson of Council Bluffs; three sons, Franklin McKenzie of Omaha; Robert McKenzie of Washington, D. C.; and Thomas Majeski, currently of Fort Bragg, N. C. with US Army; six sister, Mrs. Leo John; Mrs. Nell Sheehan; and Mrs. Charles Usher, all of Omaha; and Mrs. J. P. Pawloski of Lincoln Neb.; Mrs. Frank Janluwiez of Comstock, Neb.; and Mrs. P. A. Armour of Chicago; three brothers, Stanley Majeski of Dallas, Texas; Anton Majeski of Anton, Neb.; and Joseph J. Majeski of Council Bluffs, and five grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending. The Beem-Belford Funeral Home is in charge.
