Omaha Daily Bee, March 7, 1906:

Council Bluffs News - Mrs. Anna Mary Geisler, wife of Christian Geisler, died suddenly at her home 1119 Fifth avenue, yesterday afternoon from heart failure. When the husband returned from his work last evening he found all the doors of the house locked and was forced to climb in through a window. On entering the kitchen he discovered the dead body of his wife lying on the floor. Mrs. Geisler had been subject to attacks of heart trouble recently. She was 66 years of age. Besides her husband she leaves one sister, Mrs. John Merkel of this city. The funeral will probably be held Thursday afternoon, although arrangements are not yet complete.

Omaha Daily Bee, March 8, 1906:

Council Bluffs News - The funeral of the late Mrs. Chris Geisler will be held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the German Evangelical church and interment will be in Walnut Hill cemetery. Rev. Mr. Scheurer will conduct the services. The funeral cortege will leave the residence, 1119 Fifth avenue, at 1 o'clock.

The funeral of Anna Barry Geisler will be held this morning at 10:30 o’clock from the German Evangelical Church, Glen Avenue and Spruce Street. Rev. Mr. Schuerer officiating. The interment will take place in Walnut Cemetery.
