Avoca, Ia., [Saturday] Dec 26th – Mrs. Emma Matilda Hathaway died last evening at 8:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Myers, with whom she had resided for nearly twenty years in this town. Mrs. Hathaway was 77 years old. The funeral will be held from the family residence on Sunday afternoon at 2:30, with interment in the Avoca cemetery.
