Robert P. Fedson, age 79, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Des Moines, passed away March 6, 2013 at Risen Son Christian Village. Bob was born May 15, 1933 in Des Moines to the late Christian and Helen (Bachman) Fedson. He graduated North High School, Des Moines in 1951 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 (Korea).

Bob married Joy L. Blanchard on August 31, 1953 and to this union one son was born. Bob retired from Economy Forms in Des Moines after a 20 year career. In 2000, Bob and Joy moved to Council Bluffs (Risen Son Christian Village). To keep busy, Bob worked at Sam's Club for 10 years. Bob was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs and the Urbandale, Iowa American Legion Post #663.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joy Fedson of Council Bluffs; son, Rob Fedson of Austin, Texas; brother, Richard Fedson of Kingwood, Texas; nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside service, Monday in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. Military rites will be tendered by Urbandale, IA American Legion Post #663. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Saint John Lutheran Church, 633 Willow Ave. Council Bluffs, IA, 51503 or Risen Son Christian Village, 3000 Risen Son Blvd. Council Bluffs, IA, 51503.
