(April 10, 1831 - June 24, 1874)

OBITUARY.

Council Bluffs, June 24 - At 11 a.m. to-day Mr. Alex. Scott, the well known and valued General Stock Agent of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad, died at the Pacific Hotel of consumption. Funeral to-morrow.

W. B. Strong, General Superintendent, telegraphs from Keokuk as follows: "In the death of Alex. Scott the company lost an earnest and faithful servant, and the vacancy cannot be filled. A warm-hearted, sincere friend, and worthy man has gone. Express my sympathies to the relatives."
