Swan, Ia - Services for Russell Dale Bowers, 50, of Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Swan, who died of a heart attack Friday at a Biloxi, Miss. hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial will be in Swan Cemetery.

Mr. Bowers was born in Pleasantville and grew up in Swan. He later lived in Council Bluffs and moved to Gulfport three years ago. He was owner and operator of Bower's Refrigeration and Trailer Repair in Gulfport, a Korean War Army veteran and a memeber of Bayou Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; four sons, Robert, Roger and Richard, all of Gulfport, and Randall of San Diego, Calif.; his mother, Eva Bowers of Melcher; five brothers, Joseph and Charles, both of Melcher, Larry of Pleasantville, Kermit of Gulfport and Merrill of Crownpoint, Ind.; a sister, Barbara Denzler of Alexandria, Va.; and six grandchildren.
