Edward J. Kermeen, age 75, of Blair, Neb., passed away September 21, 2010, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

Ed was born March 16, 1935, to James and Viola (Schroder) Kermeen, in Honey Creek, Iowa. He was a graduate of Neola High School.

On January 9, 1954 he was united in marriage to Janet Cox, in Papillion, Neb. He worked as a machinist. He enjoyed making wood crafts and attending craft shows. Ed also enjoyed Nascar races and traveling with his wife Janet.

He was preceded in death by wife Janet in February 2010; parents; and sister, Arlene.

Ed is survived by his children, Jeanine Kermeen, of Blair, Neb., Mary Jane and husband, Joel Mumm, of Omaha, Debra Hobbs, of Rogers, Ark., Jim Kermeen and special friend, Donella, of Crescent, Iowa, and Kevin Kermeen and wife, Mona, of Blair; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Grant Nihsen, of Crescent; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010, beginning at 2 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemeter
